my spontaneous wednesday

it started off as just an ordinary day... and then it turned into so much more!

oma (leo (my dutch mom)'s mother) called and asked if we (the girls and i) would like to go to the zaanse schans which is this really awesome village which people still live in - but the whole town is basically a museum. it gives you a realistic impression of the way everything looked back in the 17th and 18th centuries! so you could say i was a tad bit excited. im all about the touristy stuff.

so oma picked us up around 9 o'clock and we hit the road! when we got there it was just as i expected - green green green :)

we then began walking around this cute little town
playing with goats
eating free cheese
browsing through museums
sitting in extremely large wooden shoes
devouring large chocolate smothered pancakes
and just about everything else you'd expect out of a touristy dutch town

i just love spontaneous days
and of course fun people to spend those days with :)
