some of the wonderful things that happened:
- experienced st. tropez and all the beautiful and over priced boats that are docked there
- devoured an ice cream every day... for 3 weeks
- explored villages in the mornings
- drank coffee and tea after searching through endless amounts of (fun) junk and food at the street markets
- played at the beach in the afternoons
- rode, and pedaled, on a water bike through the gorges du verdon
- played petanque (a popular french ball game) with leo and menno
- beau called me her best friend - for the first time i might add
- annebelle fell asleep in my arms on the beach
- one day i explored port grimaud on my own and had a pistachio ice cream cone
- listened to the k3 cd about 50 times... and unfortunately that number is not exaggerated
- sat in the back seat as beau drove on menno's lap
- leo kissed brad pitt on the streets of cannes
- traveled to st. maxime, grimaud, st. tropez, cannes, frejus, and a handful of other wonderful villages
and i know... what you've all been waiting for... the pictures! (disclaimer: these are just a few pictures from the vacation - the bulk of them are on my facebook page!)
me on my day off in port grimaud enjoying the wonderful canals // admiring paintings in st. tropez // enoying a scrumptious pistachio ice cream // watching very tan teenage boys fish // loving the blue and white striped umbrellas // all smiles at the beach // sitting back and watching as the french elvis makes our pizza while serenading us // secretly tasting grapes which will soon become a tasty wine // staring off into the bluest of waters // naked babies on a beach - nothing better // speedos only // laughing with leo // staring (with mouth gaping open) at the most beautiful view of the gorges du verdon i've ever seen // loving beau's cute little smile // trying to take family pictures at the end of a tiring beach day
this was the loveliest of trips and i had the most wonderful time with some of my favorite people. 3 weeks on vacation, and now only 3 weeks left in holland. (can you believe it???) these last few
goodbye and thank you for the memories french riviera, and hello the last few weeks in holland.
xoxo
